Beet Pulp is the vegetable matter, which remains after sugar is extracted from sliced sugar beets. This vegetable matter is then dried to improve its handling characteristics. It is a bulk feed, high in fiber and unique in that its fiber is extremely digestible. Beet Pulp is easily chewed, energy roughage in a form that is considerably less dusty than hay.
Dry Feed: Mix with current feed.
- Soak beet pulp in large amount of water
- Wait 15 minutes or until beet pulp is fully expanded
- Feed wet or squeeze out excessive water
- Feed as is or mix with current feed
Storage & Handling
Dried Beet Pulp can be reasonably stacked and stored. Changes in temperature are not dangerous providing reasonably dry conditions are maintained. Roaches and weevils do not attack Beet Pulp nor is it susceptible to rodent damager. When kept dry, Beet Pulp can be stored indefinitely.
